About
Chi Pallets is a map and data sheet for pallets across the Chicago region. It is not a pallet yard, has no trucks and no address, and doesn't buy or sell pallets itself.
It does three things. It maps where pallets pile up, county by county, neighborhood by neighborhood and corridor by corridor, from public data with sources on every page. How each figure is made is on the method page. It runs the Load Line, a quick check of whether a load is likely to be paid for, collected free or charged a fee. And it passes requests from people who have pallets, or need them, to pallet buyers and sellers who cover their area.
The site has the same owner as Repackify, a marketplace for used pallets and packaging. Requests sent from this site go to Repackify, which passes them to pallet companies that cover the area. The monthly price sheet, when it launches, will be built from Repackify listings, labelled as asking prices.
