Moulded plastic pallets come in nestable, rackable and heavy-duty styles. They are washable and don't splinter, which is why food, pharmaceutical and closed-loop shippers use them.
Plastic pallets are not wood packaging material, so the ISPM 15 treatment rules don't apply to them. Many carry an owner's name and are meant to come back.
Where they turn up
Food and beverage plants, pharmaceutical distribution and returnable loops between a supplier and one customer.
